Does it not worry anyone that a candidate's viability is based almost solely on their ability to raise money?  The media is so focused on this that I think there is a reasonable percentage of voters who actually let that fact alone decide their vote.

"Well, Candidate XXXX is raising the most cash, so they must be the best...."  American Idol politics.  We're a country of schmucks.

I for one will vote for Gore whether or not he is on the ticket.  I would support a write-in campaign for him if he doesn't come out, but that would probably split the Dem vote enough for a GOP candidate to win, so there is a big catch 22.  Maybe what we need is a write-in campaign in the early primaries to force him to come out.

The Bloomberg/Hegel thing is worth watching.  I don't know enough about Bloomberg's politics yet, but it's worth keeping an eye on.
