"Words are weapons sharper than knives"- I know this is from somewhere but I can't place it just now.

So, there's all sorts of terminology attached to our new war and I would say it's all intended to have a certain impact...but what does it mean to you? You're all invited to play this little game, please post your thoughts...

Shock & Awe- This is a big one. In high school there was a very cute young lady I had quite a crush on. One afternoon my phone rang and it was her on the other end. She invited me to her house. Her parents were out for the day it turned out. I jumped on my bicycle and pedaled over posthaste. When she answered the door wearing nothing but a smile shock and awe were most certainly what I felt. I also felt...umm...grateful. I blame women for me never becoming a rock star. There's a story there but not right now.

Iraqi Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom- At first I thought this was a new song by Elton John. I guess Elton called Bernie and they have now begun writing it.

Human Shield- Ok this isn't new but it's got such a negative connotation. I was thinking this would be a good term for a tactic that's used quite a bit around the office. Like when your boss doesn't want to take credit for one of his or her failures so they blame you. "Yeah, that idea came from Flannery in development. I never liked it." You got human shielded.

Anyway you can see where I'm headed with this stuff so let's hear your ideas.
