As the labor day weekend kicks off, I put some Swervedriver on the box. Any fans out there? Now, talk about a unique sound!! Very power-guitar, dense rythymns, English surf-punk sound...
Love MEZCAL HEAD, which is a MUST HAVE for any collection, but am listening to one of their earlier ones...RAISE, quite good (suffers from some recording technique mediocrity, but same melodic DENSE sound they are known for). What is REALLY cool...no pics of the band AT ALL on any CD,just artwork..very anonymous...My curiosity led me to their website (they finally have one); yes, they are indeed very human, even if the sound is otherworldly. I'll post link later (Linkletter..bad joke)..have fun this weekend everybody, and have a SAFE one. I shall be on the Mendocino coast in about 24 hrs.Gene
