thanks for the response. i can see where you're coming from and where what i said could ruffle some feathers...it wasn't intended to make you feel good to be honest. do i really believe that there are those on the left who do in fact view the news of more troop deaths with a sick glee? yeah, i really do believe that, Reg. do i think that anybody here on the board falls into that category? i wouldn't know. just as there are people on the right who would look at acts of terrorism as a means to a twisted end. there are some strange folks on both sides. to me, Harry Reid is an idiot and i have no doubt that he is the sort who would step on the bodies of dead soldiers to advance an agenda. he's the sort of person i was thinking of when i wrote what i did. was what i said baiting? sure. so in that sense i suppose i was trolling but it's the sort of thing which we do around here. somebody says something knowing that it will be inflammatory to another but they do it anyway. some good discussions have come out of these exchanges. have you ever written anything knowing it would upsetting or unsettling to another? maybe you haven't and i commend you for that but there are many on this board who have and i don't see anybody calling them a troll.

your comment about me being of a disturbed mind in need of help is i think a bit over the top but if that's the way you feel i don't suppose there's much i can do to change your mind.

i don't come here as often as i used to but when i do i'm always sure to find plenty of posts along the lines of the hypocrisy on the right and how we're such an evil misguided bunch. i can only assume that the people on the left have much purer motives and that they really are out to help those less advantaged...but you know that's not the case...and that's why i brought abortion into the discussion because for me it defines people on the left...the partial birth thing. how anybody can defend that is beyond me but your leaders on the left do it in big way and i see none of you challenge them on that...nobody on the left.

i stand by what i wrote and wish to withdraw none of it. that's not said to be trollish...just a fact which i'd like to be clear about. so, the next time the man or anybody else looks down their nose at us on the right and states "The advantage to having these wingut voices around is that in the context of this particular message board people like Pat, and Dale, and Kevin G are almost like lab specimens, revolving in the light." i'll be sure and understand that it's not trolling and it adds to the level of discussion. later.
