That's from The Old Grey Whistle Test which has a couple of volumes out on DVD that I highly recommend. Lot's great early performances by many artists. I think there is three volumes in the U.K. but that appreviated the U.S. packages which, i wish they hadn't.
One hightlight is seeing Edgar Winter perform "Frankenstein" live with what is probably one of the earliest versions of a shoulder strap keyboard / synth. Rick Derringer is with him on that one. They do an awesome live version with Edgar switching around from keys, to percussion.
An early R.E.M. spot when Stipe still sported a full curly head of hair.
XTC
Early Elton John performing "Your Song"
Etc.
