The above links will take you to the most recent Bush administration document dump. It's not real exciting reading but for Pat it allows him to read what these people were discussing and make his own judgements. No "liberal media" just Bushies e-mailing eachother.

There's so much stuff here I can't really tell you exactly where to read everything. There are some funny items like a letter signed by Randy Duke Cunningham and Jerry Lewis (one of the other guys involved in Lam's investigation not the actor, Pat) complaining about Lam not spending her time prosecuting border crime...ha, I bet they would have much prefered that.

There's also this cool little e-mail from Tasia Scolinos, a senior public affairs specialist at the Justice Department, to Catherine Martin, a White House communications adviser.

Dig this:

"The one common link here is that three of them are along the southern border so you could make the connection that DOJ is unhappy with the immigration prosecution numbers in those districts. I think most of them will resign quietly - they don't get anything out of making it public. I don't see it as being a national story - especially if it phases in over a few months."

You can can click on the third link down (the one that says 3) and scroll right to page 31 (there are 68 pages in that pdf) and you will be able to read "The Plan" to fire the attorneys. It's not mindblowing but it is pretty damn funny when you get to "Step three" and everyone is told to brace for political upheaval and to "respond identically" and there is a list of what to say when these attorneys question why they are being let go etc...
