Have you ever visited Fish's website? That guy will tell you everything in his emails to his fans. Almost too much information. Do we really need to know about his financial problems, drinking problems, marital problems. I kinda feel badly for the guy but he should never have got "Lead Singers Disease" and left Marillion. I guess it probably seemed like a good idea at the time.
Rothery is one of my all time faves in this genre. He's a bit "Gilmour-ian" in his tone and his timing. Very little flash but huge on emotion.
I saw them back in '90 in Atlanta on their Seasons End tour. Rothery was phenominal. Absolutely soaring. "Easter" almost made me cry. But then again so did "Hooks in You". "Easter" was gorgeous. "Hooks..." is one of the worst songs ever written by a band with so much talent. I knew it was over after that.
