Limbaugh, Dale, Hannity, and the Right's Faux Fury Over Anonymous Comments
A miniscule fraction of HuffPost readers chose to take advantage of the open forum nature of comments in our news section to write hateful comments about Vice President Cheney surviving the suicide bombing during his visit to Afghanistan. As soon as these offensive comments came to our attention, they were deleted from the site. But that didn't stop the right-wing hit machine from seizing on them with phony outrage and bogus indignation, pretending that a few anonymous commenters could be equated with the editorial views of the Huffington Post -- and indeed the sentiments of "Democrats and liberals," as Rush Limbaugh put it. The faux fury routine is getting very, very old.
