Honestly, to the casual observer though I may be, Sting is and
always has been the worst kind of bullying, social-climbing ponces
to ever fall in love with the smell of his own farts. Stewart, on the
other hand. Wow. Stewart Copeland, one of the most graceful,
original drummers to ever pick up a pair of sticks. A lot of times
I'd take Stewart Copeland over Tony Williams, and most times over
Jeff Porcaro. (I know, Toto sucked worse than anything, but Porcaro
was just pure genius in spite of it all) I even loved Copeland’s
scores for "The Equalizer", remember that show? And that early
movie with Matt Dillon? The one with Mickey Rourke as the older
brother? Very cool, very original score, that. And the Rhythmatist?
With the world’s most pretentious liner notes but awesome weird
grooves inside? Love Stewart Copeland.
