I was given an advance of this and it is worth a listen. Like most tributes it is hit or miss. I'm glad they did it because anything that brings attention to this music is a good thing. I agree with you Kyle that it's tough to tackle these songs and I think what you get when you hear this is a real idea how great The Band was. You'll play this and then you'll want to hear all the originals. Maybe it'll get Robbie to show up at Levon's some night. March 10, I'm going to Levon's again...about 12 people at this point are coming with me. I think the list is going to grow between now and then. This tribute is nice but nothing beats seeing the real thing!
