In October (I think) of last year, I was fortunate enough to join Gene (from this board) on a bike ride on the C&O canal in Maryland.  The canal follows the Potomac river from Cumberland MD to Georgetown in DC.  It's about 180 very flat car-less miles.  On the ride last year, we were only able to ride a small portion - it rained really hard and it was really cold for October.  Anyway, we talked about doing the whole thing as a three day trip.  Start on Thursday morning and end Saturday evening...or something like that.  We haven't set any plans in stone - but we both thought it'd be cool if anyone interested (and interesting) from here could join us.  Does this sound like something anyone other than me and Gene are interested in??  I'm posting some pictures from last fall's ride.  Oh yeah - one last thing.  This ride holds a very special spot in Gene's heart...but I won't spoil it for anyone by blabbing about it here.
