Danny is one of my favs.  He is legend here in the DC area where he grew up and played.  Vince was always an amazing player, and if you wanna hear some new Albert Lee, get the Clapton/JJ Cale CD which just came out.  I am not a big Clapton fan at all, but my son gave it to me as a gift and the thing really knocked me out.  It is excellent, entitled Escondido or something like that.

The ultimate Danny Gatton recording (if you can find it) is a live thing he did with Buddy Emmons called Redneck Jazz Explosion recorded live concert circa 1978 at the Cellar Door in Washington DC.  It'll sizzle you.  They pick hard and don't come up for air (Danny will play some ridiculously complex burning solo, then Buddy does something even more insane on steel and it goes on and on..)....Search the net for it, but if you can't find it, I'll burn you my copy (which is a copy of a copy).   OH yeah!
