Unfortunately,trying to live up to that promise killed him. His foundation and others like it need funding to continue the research to find a cure for spinal cord injuries.

Some of my paralyzed collegues and I figure we'd be out of our chairs if Princess Diana became quadriplegic instead of dying in that crash.Kinda morbid but the attention given to spinal research would've been massive, to cure her. I guess being "Superman" wasn't enough for Chris Reeve.
