For all his isolationist leaning and fascist trapping, every now and then Buchanan makes a lot of sense. This is one of those moments.
My favorite line is: Sustaining this fiction is taking a heavy toll on our credibility. Not only is this administration destroying our credibility to persuade, they have put us in the horrible predicament of now having to attack Iraq to protect our credibility to enforce with the stick.
I wonder how Bush is going to respond to this? Are the ultra-conservatives in Pat's camp going to now be put on the other side of the line in the sand?
