Maybe they can sing some of the garbage off of Simon's last album.  "Pigs, Wolves and Sheep" or whatever the title song is, is the worst piece of shit I have ever heard relative to the strength of output.

That whole album was hideous.

It strikes me as even more obscene that there would be any kind of negotiations for percentages.  What is the difference between 50/50 and 60/40 when the take is in the "hundreds of millions of dollars?"  Does Simon really need that extra bit to stroke his ego or to show the world that he's the stronger half of the group?  "Artie has that sweet voice.  I'll show him."  "I can't believe people still think Bob Dylan is better than me!  I know how to play Emin7flat5 and he still writes blues progressions!"

It's even worse when you think of the countless acts who play worthwhile music with all their guts and hearts and souls who would kill for a fraction of the audience these old goats will get when they trot out the hits.  "Raise your liver-spotted hands in the air like you just don't care..."
