Recorded it today to watch tonight. Glad I did. Was curious about a flick written/directed by Jim Sheridan (and daughters: Naomi and Kirsten).
This is not the sort of movie you want to watch tired. …It’s just a warm &
affecting drama about an immigrant family on the jagged edge of hope: A
beautiful splintered woman & her patriarchal ghost whose old-soul daughters
meet a sacrificial warrior…who opens doors for them that he cannot open for
himself. Or something nothing at all like that.
…Worth a viewing, it’ll jerk a tear outa ya…like it or not.
