I have to laugh when you bring up "cutting defense spending"... what implications do you really think that has? What comprises that gravy at the top that got skimmed? Try pet projects - huge wastes of cash seemingly designed only to fatten the wallets of defense contractors. Would the Crusader howitzer system have been a good anti-Taliban tool?
The only defense cuts that have me upset is the Republiklan's consistent attack on the benefits paid to our veterans. F another nuke aircraft carrier - how about opening a new VA to address the mental health of our soldiers?
