just more of the same old 'liberal' bleating..."we're torturing people, including innocents!"..."we're using secret prisons!"..."we're detaining people without charge!"..."we're not obeying due process of law!"..."we're disregarding the Geneva Convention!"..."our methods are creating more terrorists!"...

then, months later, the White House or our intelligence agencies confirm it. i love a lot of things that America stands (or stood) for, but these aren't them. again, we're holding ourselves up as the Civilized Role Models for the world; it's incumbent on us to find ways to deal with the situation without fanning the flames. and all the Rovian 'kill kill kill' rhetoric might appeal to frightened swing voters, but i can't see how it endears us to anyone else.

not that i advocate sitting on our hands; let's secure airports, borders & ports more aggressively, and make sure first responders are fully equipped and trained. let's finish the job in Afghanistan. also, Osama's head might look nice on a pike. just a thought or two.
