Crissie, Shelby & I saw Xavier Rudd at the Rex a couple nights ago.  w0w, this cat is awe inspiring; ...a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter with his beloved ayidaky & slide guitar & rhythms on the pulse of the aboriginal spirit & the soul celebration of earth/people music.  Pulse/ beat/hands/trees; powerful/temperate.  A perfect venue too, & perhaps our favorite musician in the world right now.  A friend in QLD. turned us on to his music; such a...well, ... blessing that he's touring the states.  The girl who opened for him, named Ane Rund, iz a very gifted singer/songwriter as well...but we found ourselves agreeing that you could have filled her shoes... agreeably, ...even…more poignantly @ times.  ...Not to go bringing up your guitar music or anything.
