With regards to Robert Downey Jr. being an extraordinary talent, I couldn’t agree more ~~ have felt that way for a long time; …brilliant & unfathomable & the archetype of the whimsical/woeful clown thespian poet.

Two Girls & a Guy is another dialogue driven piece that is poignant, …’97/98ish…so likely familiar to most here already…but well worth mentioning.

Sure would like to see Mr. Downey Jr. begin again exploring some of his other personifications beyond the way downer side of the remedy sphere.  But, hey, …the fascination pulls hard once the bug bites, …& bites real hard….  Maybe it is only acting these days, drawn from experience…& predominantly past experience alone.  That sure wouldn’t suck.  Imagine the effects a few decades more of this cat’s work as an actor & musician if & when he locates that balance between both real passions.

A Scanner Darkly looks like a great cast…& a punch-in-th’stomach yarn.  It’s not being shown anywhere around here, best I can tell, …so we’ll wait for the DVD…& then jump on it.

I don’t know, …what a whack l’il blue ball recreated in some twisted freaks’ image….

Who are the metaphorical Deucalion & who are the metaphorical Victor Helios (von Frankenstein) & who are the metaphorical embodiment of the monster …& who chains us all to them & a lightning rod driven into frozen winter shit with impunity? …Yikes:
