Mick...I don't think Jesus would want us to passively stand by as Hitler, Saddam or whoever committed their acts of terrorism on innocent people. What do you think Jesus would have done? Surely he could have caused some devine experience to happen in their lives which would lead them to change but short of that do you honestly think he would do nothing if faced with a similar situation. The New Testament does not show Jesus confronted with such a decision so it's difficult to say that he would not have become enraged and acted to protect the innocent. He certainly showed anger toward the money changers in the temple when he overturned their tables. He was capable of anger.

I don't see anything wrong with being glad when good wins out and evil is overcome as is what happened this week with what's his name. The guy is dead and will no longer be alive to terrorize innocent people. Are you glad or are you sad about that?
