Well, yeah, these cops were jerks, and their department thought so also, and fired them immediately.  They don't represent the entire spectrum of law enforcement.  Even so, I think the scary part is that had it not been for the tape Siler's wife left on the kitchen table, these pricks would have gotten clean away with the abuse.  And that's just not right.  Police excesses need to be exposed; and I have a feeling this occurs more than we know. 

Oxycodone is a highly "marketable" substance. It is the active ingredient in Percocet and related pain killing compounds.  I am now very reluctant to prescribe it for patients since it can be diverted.  Street value in this area is 20$ a tab.  Do the math.  A typical daily Rx is 3-4 tabs a day for pain control.  A monthly supply therefore, say 90 tabs.   So, that would make a nice monthly income of 1800$.  Don't know why it's popular.  On it's own, taken orally, there is no "high".  I think if ground up and injected, there is a heroin like "rush".
