This stripped-down version of Tom Petty's ELO hit with Jeff Lynne makes the song feel real. I like the original--I'm a fan of Lynne and a fan of Petty--but this version brings some grit and gut that is missing in the glossy original. The treatment of the chorus, in particular, won me over.
