Gene & Peter,
Campbell's most well known book is "The Hero With A Thousand Faces". In it he traces one great hero myth through many different mythologies from around the world to show a commonality of the human experiance. He was a fascinating guy and the Moyers interview that Peter speaks of is what brought him national attention. I would recommend both as a good starting point if you have an interest in looking into him. He is an amazing story teller and one of the greatest speakers I've ever heard. I will be buying that DVD Peter, thanks for the info.
