A Fox poll has it at 71% that disapprove of the rallies. A CNBC poll has it that 62% believe the protesters should be arrested. You would not believe those numbers if you only went with media coverage. Even Orielly who panned out to Geraldo out at one of the big rallies with Geraldo championing the cause. The left should love George Bush's stance on it because he is all ready to let them have amnesty but with poll numbers like the above there will be backlash if he does. A couple of things to consider.

1. Illegal Aliens DO NOT deserve amnesty. To think they do is ludicrous.
2. To think #1 is true does not mean that you are a racist a bigot or anything like that. To be labeled such is not fair. I know about the plight of the migrant worker having designed and worked with 27 States on one of the 1st Internet programs to keep track of these people. I've grown up in and around Mexican people. I know them well. Hard working close knit group. They would be good Americans I know that. But just because we have been lax in enforcing border policy does not give them the right to automatically become American citizens
3. Who stands to gain the most if they get amnesty? Anyone with half a brain could figure out if you introduce a large group of people to entitlements they will vote for you. And what party would that be???
4. What message does this send? It sends the message that EVERYONE deserves to be an American Citizen. Which again is ludicrous. Many an American has paid a great price for this country and to discount citizenship in this country is a slap in the face of all Americans.
