I'm curious what others on the board think about DNA fingerprinting as a means of helping to identify criminals as well as to help reduce crime.  

If cost weren't an issue (which it no doubt is) would you have any reason for not volunteering a sample of your DNA for a data base which would only be used for forensic use in identifying criminals?

Would you be in favor of such an idea?
