Dan Bern is amazing, though he can be frustrating at times.  Massively prolific, over 2000 songs, some awe-inspiring, some not so.

He just released an EP called "The Swastika EP",  which is pretty cool.  Has a song called "Talkin' Al Kida Blues" about our current state of affairs, and a great 11-minute epic called "Lithuania".  He also released a book called "World Cup" with a 5 song CD insert, also very cool.

I would suggest checking out his last full length "New American Language" or his first, eponymously titled album for the uninitiated.

He has a new full-length coming out on March 11.
