I think theyre just hoping if they stay out of the way, that Bushco will self-destruct on its own. But it would be nice to see a mass, unifed response... The Dems are so scattered, and it seems to me that theyre more interested in maintaining their individual power niches than in presenting a truly organised opposition. If ever there was a better time for our decent-minded Congressmen to put their individual rivalries aside and combat this criminal administration, I can't think of one. Even just strategically, not just as a matter of principle... Abramoff, Delay, and all the little birdies that flew with them are in a race now to sing sing sing, lest they go to Sing Sing--the president's poll numbers are down to Nixonian levels...the public opposition to the war is growing... It's becoming irrefutable that not just Bush, but the whole administration lied in the runup to invasion.... The list goes on, and this White House is an albatross around the neck of every Republican out there. So where indeed are the Democrats? They should be in the streets, with banners, and citizens, demanding a representative democracy, like we hired them to do.
