...although I wish folks would ease-back on waving Jimmy Hendrix like a ragged Ol’ Glory. The way I’ve read it, he was a paratrooper for a few months...until he was able to convince the base psychiatrist that he was just this side of a whack-lamp (so that he could free-up his commitment to the army and get on with the band gigs he’d been lining-up. Jimmy Hendrix may have been a patriot, ...I would not disarm any gent of that notion, ...but he was a rock & roll patriot...
& his guitar was his sidearm.... Once a musician, always a musician..........
