My son’s always going around with his MP3 player...recording bites, ...never know when we’re on-the-air anymore.  I should just give-in & go out n find the sounds, ...you’re right.

It’s how I feel about the sound I get from just one mic, my words/voice, and m’ favorite acoustic guitar through a preamp with a little phase-echo into and out of a Fender Hotrod amp, mono on 4 track, ...in the sun’s rays of the early-morning-after...with a hang-over...& smoke-strained lungs, ...my best gal hittin’ play....   Gritty, ...honest.

...I had some trouble negotiating the East West Samples site ...so eventually ended-up at sounddogs.com...where pretty much any sound we don’t have can be found. 

Very ominous & distant rhythmic & deep toned machinery sounds.  Stuff to give ol’ Chief Bromden nightmares of The Combine.  A little costly, it seems, ...but they have a heck of a library to search through.
