Lord knows I understand your frustration but would the 3rd party route accomplish anything other than to insure a Bush second term?Seeing as how Bush will undoubtedly get his second term, unless something really radically goes wrong, I just wonder what would happen if all of us disgusted Dems were to switch to independent. Would the democratic party leaders take notice? Would they wonder why?
I vote Democratic primarily for social issues and in this area a Bush victory and its long term affect upon the Supreme Court should give you pause for major concern. What you stated above is exactly why I did vote. However, it didn't do us much good. I still don't believe that Bush did have a victory and there are a lot more in Florida that also don't think so. Becoming independent doesn't mean that one would never vote democrat or republican again. It just means to me that I am not behind either party.
