...A few moments, a few laughs, talent making the best of a situation, a homage or two...and a cameo aside, ...one good reason to see Fun with Dick & Jane (in a theatre with a lot of legroom and comfy high back seats) is to appreciate the message therein; ...and splayed all out there like suntan-oiled-butt-cheeks in the final credits. Groovy too, ...’cuz it’s an obvious jab @ a fitting target. The shoe has never fit any better.
The MESSAGE, which could be in the top two list of “we the people” battle cries for the back half of the century, is neatly packaged into this comedy. Bummer though, that folks are walking, no...plodding, disappointedly out of the closets it’s being shown in...after having probably let the [FCK U to corrupt/soulless CEOs/BODs everywhere] go in one deaf ear...and out the other.
Too bad they couldn’t get Turteltaub or Ratner or Lynn or Jordan or Hughes to direct...what ought to have been a work of dark humor genius.
