Downloading with Limewire requries a bit of strategy.  When you do a search, try a few titles and if they don't come through in a few minutes, renew your search.  It probably means the user you're trying to download from has gone offline or they have too many queries going on at once to take your request.  When you refresh your search, new ones will come up.

That may help.  I've found that sometimes you get a user that's put up a number of songs by the same artist.  You're thinkin' "Goldmine! It's the whole Bananarama Catalog! Score!"  But then you request two or three songs but only one or two comes through. That probably means the user has limited the downloads to one or two requests. When your first requests have completed, try again.

Careful!  There's lots of crap and mislabled stuff out there.  I tried to download a live version of a Peter Gabriel song and it ended up being that horrendous version of wish you were here by Fred Durst.  I felt so dirty and violated.

Mostly, I steal stuff I'm too ashamed to buy or good songs from records that were mostly crap!  "I don't mind stealing bread from the mouths of decadence."  I wish I'd said that.
