Thanks for the kind words about Joe. And I have put in my 2 cents on the site you mentioned. Joe didn't reach millions of listeners but those that he did touch were fervent admirers. His last CD with his band, The Mescaleros, "Global Au Go Go", showed that he continued to make brilliant, passionately charged music. The tunes "Johnny Appleseed" and especiallly, "Bhindi bhagee", rank with his best Clash songs. He was not on a nostalgia trip.

We all engage in a fair amount of hyperbole when describing our favorite music, in the case of The Clash's brilliantly charged, 19 song opus, "London Calling", the universal praise was warranted. EVERYONE should own it. Two albums worth of music on one CD, and recently remastered to boot!
