Oh I agree...child abuse is certainly NOT a current trend..I think it has always been with us, and given today's news coverage, it just may seem all that more apparent.  That story just gave me the creeps, and I had  trouble sleeping, thinking about those kids, and all the other little ones out there suffering in similar situations.
