I think the most common creature trait

Of the ever-faster paced American being...

...is the penchant to NOT know what one has

Until it’s gone...or...well...on it’s way out....

& I wonder often enough, while beside my own

& escaping into some present fascination or another,

 ...if I have shared enough...& if they have the presence

Of fervent mind to be wondering about the same thing

....’tis th’ season...& all ‘at....
