To lighten things up a bit.......To avoid long lists, how about everyone list just one of their favorites of the following items:Book, CD, Movie, TV program......What do you all think made the most impact in your lives and that you wish everyone could feel the same way about. Also, what are all of you really looking forward to in 2003?Myself........the book "The Great Work" by Thomas Berry has made me think more about humankinds devasting impact upon the earth and that we must work more with earth or else. The HBO series "The Wire" gave me optimism that good writing with power and compelling characters and storylines are possible. That show captured the world of criminal justice in a most horrifyingly accurate scope. CD....this is a hard one, but I can reduce it to one song and that is Springsteen's "You're Missing." It is a haunting and fearful song that after 9/11 reminded me loved ones within my life are very easily taken granted for and the thought of losing them can be unbearable. Movie....."O Brother Where Art Thou"....opened up a new genre a music to me and let me laugh at great goofy characters over and over again.....What I look forward to in 2003....well, of course to see what DB does next, but in a more selfish way, to watch our three little girls grow and not take them for granted.......Best wishes to you all.....
