The movie. See it. It helps also if you've read in Cold Blood a/o seen the movie In Cold Blood. It's about Truman...but centers exclusively on the period of time in which he wrote that novel. Apparently the last completed novel of his lifetime. Acting was excellent all around and especially by Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

I've always thought they should bring back hanging. It makes executions a snap...really.
