Another place you might try is PC Pitstop. http://www.pcpitstop.com/
On the main page, on the left look for "Full Tests", you can run anonymously or log in and it will save your results (for later comparison),
Once the tests are run, there is a summary of you computers strengths and weaknesses. It will also, at that point tell you if anything malicious is running on your computer and more often than not, tell you how to remove it.
One other thing you should have, if you don't already, is a firewall. There is a free firewall from Zone Alarm that has been a great solution for me and several friends.
