I don't love Ted in any manner. Where should I start? He loves big trucks and big boats, he must also love big dependence on oil! Totally unpatriotic.
The money he makes belongs to him. Well, someone once said that taxes are the price we pay for a civil society. I heartily agree.
His love of firearms. A comparison of gun deaths in the US per capita versus gun deaths in other industrialized countries is startling and easily obtainable on the net (I've seen them and it's shocking how many of our citizens die by firearms).
His generalization of immigrants showing disrespect to our nation's laws and customs is reprehensible and false. Sure, there are exceptions but I believe most immigrants are hardworking, law abiding and willing to assimilate.
And the police have the right to shoot anyone who runs away? Is a retort to this position even necessary?
Ted Nugent and his ilk offer a view of America that boils down to "I've got mine, you get yours, and too bad if you don't or can't." His view lacks the sense of community that I believe is essential.
You could find someone on the extreme-left and I'd offer a similar critique, Dale. If Jesse or Sharpton present a similar rambling "vision", please do post it and I'll give it a whack as well.
