No Eric, I have not heard anything by them but since you are posting stuff about music I figured I'd write a little about it too. Not that I'm hijacking your thread but maybe this could be a thread about "hey have you heard this?" stuff...

James Blunt- Anybody have any thoughts on this guy? His record is pretty cool and likely would appeal to folks here. Nice voice, very...ahh...emotional sounding singer...I've heard a few songs from him someone played for me and I thought I really should mention him here. Don't know if he's been brought up already. Check him out.

Josh Rouse- His "Nashville" record is out and I've only heard a couple cuts from it but it seems like "Baerwaldians" might dig it.

Bruce Cockburn- He's got this instrumental album out (Speechless) that I think is really cool. Would love to sit and smoke a joint and drink some absinthe with Gene and talk about this record. This guy can fucking play guitar.

The Black Keys- Don't think they have anything really new out but I love to play their records really, really loud.

Jackson Browne- His new acoustic album is very cool. You can't kill a good song...and if David gets around to releasing (even just to us diehards) some of his stuff redone with Dean or whoever he'll help prove that thought.

Thought it was very funny that Paul McCartney, Neil Young, and the Rolling Stones all recently released albums that people have called their best in many years. Then I listened to some songs from each album and thought...wow...they all are pretty good. Then I thought...maybe I'm getting too nostalgic...I've been accused on many occasions of being stuck in the 70's...and maybe I am. I won't try to deny it.
