Almost, except that the oil company he started called "Arbusto" - get it, "we are busto" seemed to be about everything but striking oil, as if that was even the point.  It was a funnel for investment which bought, if nothing else, political favor.  Even the Bin Laden family invested through their money management firm.  This is very well-documented in the Fahrenheit 9/11 film, watch it.  So, while I think Bill Maher is funny and is basically right about everything sad as it is, I do think that the oil company was another matter.  It's not that it failed, it actually did what it was set up to do.  Bush took in money from "investors" who wanted influence.  Bush "invested" the money, lost their investment and oh, by the way, the investors could have direct contact with the President's son...
