Icon Re: Clinton, Beyond The White House....

I stayed at the Sheraton New York last week, was there while Clinton was in town, saw him when he came out onstage at Radio City Music Hall's version of "From The Big Appple to the Big Easy."  New Yorkers love Bill Clinton, and you know, after what we've been through in the last five years, it seems that more and more people are beginning to see the forest for the trees:  that the whole Monica scandal, like the Martha scandal, was something that never should have happened in the first place.

When the chips fall, Bill Clinton, not George W. Bush, will be remembered as the better President.  We are living through the most politically contentious age I've ever witnessed and something is getting lost in the process:  our ability to see the truth.  The smoke and mirrors are clouding the vision, but when the dust settles, I am sure that it will be clear that we never had it so good as under Bill Clinton.  The Bush years will probably be viewed very dimly as a very dark period in our history.
