Just to give you an idea where I'm heading. This could actually turn into a portal and this would be the browse page. The other page would be user configurable kind of like Yahoo or Excite if you've ever set one of those up where you define the content an such. Fortunately I can do this in phases. The only thing really functional filterwise is if you select the person who recommended the page but you can see where I'm heading with a combination of filters.
