I am devastated, as we all are, by Katrina. And emotionally nauseated when, in the middle of network coverage, we're given commercials for jeans at Old Navy and for Ambien to help us sleep.Yet today I went to see the first showing of THE CONSTANT GARDENER in Fairfield CT county - haven't bee to a movie in a theatre in over 6 months.Gripping filmmaking, first rate acting and story-telling and absolutely NOT a feel good film but with incredible resonance. (And the "bad guys" are not Americans.) Just go see it and be sure to stay for the credits - the director's note and also John Le Carre's.
