Cindy Sheehan, in case you've been living in a box, is the mom of slain Iraq War veteran Casey Sheehan. She is protesting in front of George Bush's Crawford ranch this month. This grieving mom has been characterized as a flip-flopper, accused of putting on a public circus, lambasted as a publicity seeking grandstander and criticized for not truly speaking for her family since an aunt and a godmother Matt Drudge found somewhere in the Sheehan family disagree with her. The conservative attack machine is in high gear in the efforts to tear this woman down
Bill Orielly advertised for about 2 days that she(Cindy Sheehan) had agreed to go on The Factor. On the day of the show she cancelled citing that Orielly had said some "untrue" things about her. I watched his show and listened to his radio program and heard nothing of the sort. The fact is she did meet with Mr. Bush. This is not widely reported in the media. Orielly had replaced her segment with a lady that had similar grievances and also had met privately with President Bush. She felt that he was not sincere but notely he did embrace her. Orielly was very respectful to this woman and in no way put her on the spot for her views. The reason the right wing is reacting is the fact that 1)She did meet with Bush 2)Al Franken and crew are involved on her side 3)Her family does not agree with her
