Well actually if it wasn't for the French financing the war effort against England our Colonies would have remained British and we all would still be walking around barefoot, like they do in the motherland.

Then the French sold us that wonderful little piece of property which now includes New Orleans. Well, come to think of it maybe we can give that back!

Then we have the Statue of Liberty, the symbol of America, freedom and a new beginning for many immigrants, including the Polish grandparents on my father's side.

I say, Viva la France!!!
