I saw the 'Third Stage' tour in at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis on September 26, 1986. I remember that easily because that on my birthday. Rogertick was right; they played the entire 'Turd Stage' album all the way thru 'live' in concert, and then did all of the "classic" Boston material following. I do have to admit; I liked the fact that they played the entire album 'live' all the way thru. I remember thinking how many other albums have I always wanted to hear more songs live in concert by the artist only to hear just the hit songs making the setlist? This was a brilliant move, in my opinion!
The best thing about that tour was that a band called Farrenheit ("Lost In Loveland") opened up for them on that tour.
Boston. I admit that I absolutely LOVED their over-produced and harmonic sound. I was so stoked when 'Third Stage' was finally released. That disc was really decent for them ("Don't Look Back" was their best of the three). Then, when "Walk On" came out so "quickly," that's when I (thankgoodness) "walked on and away" from the band and their music for good. Biggest pile of road apples that I'd ever heard.
