Re: better security at airports?
Just returned from a trip to Ohio and there were no police to be seen. Lots of TSA people. Only had to present my id once. Flew Delta and all I had to do to get my boarding passes was insert credit card in the emachine and out they came. Wore flips so didn't have to take them off. It was a vastly different experience than flying 4 years ago when there were military personell with machine guns at every corner.
