Yup, I'm on the burn unit, mine is coming quite soon . . . was that a thinly veiled swipe about not noticing O'Connor retiring or understanding her voting record? Not that it means much, but I'm a pol. sci. major from UCD where I was basically pre-law with a focus on Con. law, but I can still be an idiot upon more often than not. Pat I truly think you miss the point entirely it seems as if your assuming I'm "opposed" to the ten commandments . . . I'm not, they are a great set of rules . . . I don't want to force my beliefs upon anyone, even you, and I don't want anyone forcing their beliefs on me, even if I agree with them . . . why you need a copy of the 10 commandments up on the wall is beyond me . . . it is far more important to keep your beliefs strong in your heart, your family and your friends . . . that's what I try to do . . .
and I'm not too concerned with who the next appointee is going to be, trying to predict the voting record of a justice for the next 30 years is futile . . . Earl Warren is a perfect example, Eisenhower called that oppointment one of his biggest mistakes . . . I on the other hand unabashedly admire Justice Warren . . . and to be honest I admire Rehnquist, I think he is the closest thing to what conservatives profess to want, a strict constitutionalist, . . . and if you think Scalia and Thomas are, you not paying attention . . .
sorry I can't go into more depth . . . i get tired of typing quite quickly . . .
